To produce an analog print from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.collodionandco.com\/2025\/fotografia-in-infrarosso\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">digital <\/a>image, I create a 1:1 scale negative using a plotter. <br\/>This negative is then used for a contact print, exposed to ultraviolet light. Next, I apply the emulsion to the paper by hand with a brush, a step that gives each print its uniqueness and authenticity.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls=\"\" poster=\"http:\/\/www.collodionandco.com\/2025\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Intervista-TAnk.png\" src=\"http:\/\/www.collodionandco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Intervista-Andrea-Collodion.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This approach brings back the artisanal feel typical of the darkroom, an experience that digital photography has partially taken away. Immersing your hands in the trays, smelling the reagents, and witnessing the magic of the print coming to life are moments that return to the very essence of photography. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the festival, I emphasized the importance of preserving and reinterpreting these traditions by combining technological innovation with manual artistry. Each print thus becomes a unique piece, where the past meets the present in a visual symphony of technique and emotion. <\/p>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-advancedgallery <strong>Tank Festival \u2022 Analog Image<\/strong> is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tankimmagineanalogica.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">event <\/a>dedicated to celebrating analog photography and its traditional processes. Organized by the Terrae Association for Social Promotion, the festival serves as a meeting place for professionals and enthusiasts, fostering interactive exchange and cultural enrichment.<br\/>The main goal is to explore the motivations that still lead many to choose analog photography as a means of observing and understanding the world.
