MY STORY
IN THE ANCIENT PHOTOGRAPHY WORLD

I have always been fascinated by uniqueness and originality.
After 15 years in the world of digital photography I embraced the world of ancient techniques. This is the the only way I found to create unique and exciting works.

MY STORY IN THE PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORLD

Since 2005, the year in which I started my career alongside Umbrian historical photographers, I have always tried to bring my vision of photography in every shot made.
This allowed me to reach important goals. I have in fact received some of the most coveted international titles in the wedding sector (such as the WPJA PHOTOGRAPHER of the YEAR) and Art Photography with several awards at the INTERNATIONAL BLACK & WHITE SPIDER AWARDS.

SINCE 2017

In this year I finally had the opportunity to follow a very complete workshop on Platinum and Palladio print.
My search for unique printing, not infinitely replicable like in digital, had finally found a first, important answer.
The following year I discovered the wet plate collodion photography and I fell in love with it for its absolute uniqueness and its intrinsic and contemporary delicacy and power.
Together with my friends and colleagues Alessio and Simone we have embarked on a path of growth in the world of “Black Art” – as it was called in the late 1800s – because of the photographers’ hands stained black by the Silver Nitrate.

SINCE 2019

I made my very first big format camera, built at home, with which I still create my photographs.
I acquire some powerful flashes for wet plates portraiture while ANFM entrusts me with two Masterclasses on Cyanotype at its annual photographers meeting from all over Italy.

I stand out internationally for my wet plates collodion portraits, together with friends and colleagues Alessio and Simone, so much so that I was invited with them to Luxembourg to the annual international meeting of the European Collodion Weekend and to the national meeting Collodio Italiaco Weekend organized by our mentor Dennis Ziliotto.
